The "German Ideas Management Award" honors companies and individuals who set an example in ideas management. The nationwide competition is regarded as the highest award in idea management in Germany and is awarded by an independent jury of experts from science and practice. JUMO's idea management team won another prize in this year's prestigious competition, after the company was already successful in 2021.
In 2022, third place in the category "Best Idea in Administration and Service" went to Martin Jordan. He had analyzed the use of two existing carton cutting machines in the JUMO logistics center and simplified particularly labor-intensive designs. As a result, one of the two machines became redundant, and the storage space and associated storage space can be used elsewhere. Optimizing the cutting process has also significantly reduced set-up times. The jury of the Ideas Management Award was particularly impressed by the effectiveness and economy of this measure.
At the award ceremony, JUMO Managing Director Dimitrios Charisiadis emphasized the important role of idea management at JUMO: "Employees are our best idea generators. No one knows as well as they do what can be improved in their workplaces."
Monika Thom, Head of JUMO Ideas Management, adds: "The sum of several hundred employee suggestions submitted each year regularly results in potential savings in the clear six-figure range. There is therefore no way around strategic idea management for JUMO."
